As autumn leaves begin to drop, letting them pile up on your grass can quickly damage your lawn.
Grass needs sunlight to photosynthesize and stay healthy, even in cooler weather. When damp leaves cover the lawn, they block out essential light and trap moisture underneath, which suffocates the grass blades and encourages fungal rot.
