With its bright yellow, daisy-like flower heads and basal leaves, it pairs beautifully with companion plants like bluebells and Sitka valerian.
This plant grows at a moderate pace from underground stems called rhizomes. It requires moderate care and watering, meaning it is not drought tolerant and needs regular moisture. To keep it happy, plant it in an outdoor spot that receives full sun or partial shade.
During the summer flowering season, the bright yellow blooms will attract bees and butterflies to your yard. You can propagate, or grow new plants, using seeds or by dividing the roots. Just keep in mind that this plant is toxic to both humans and pets, so it is best enjoyed purely as a visual treat.
